GPOYW: 2.5 years ago I had bright white punky hair and Kurt and Chris (movingsideways) and I went to shoeless Asian rave parties in warehouses in Williamsburg. So there that is.
Fuck. I had HAIR.
This party was one of the most ridiculous parties in one of the most ridiculous living situations I have ever witnessed.
-The loftmates were 95% AZNs who referred to themselves by the number of syllables in their Thai and Malay names
-The lone ‘white bro’ was a member of the Goth/Industrial Complex, who supplied all these lights and lasers that were hooked up to a computer and controlled via joystick.
-You had to take your shoes off when you came in, but the floors were also a mess from spilled drinks.
- There were only 5 or 6 people there when we arrived.
-There was a room, the ‘pot’ room, that had a 6 foot ceiling and was covered in aluminum foil in tribute to Andy Warhol.
-In that room, all you could hear was dubstep and your sperm exploding.
-We were pointed to this party by the super of the building we were aimlessly wandering around in.
-We did not know these people. It was not the party we were looking for.
-We only felt like it was time to leave once other people showed up. It was not the party they were looking for either.
Things were different back then. The world was different, new, free. lol
